This review is from: Netgear NeoTV Max Streaming Player NTV300SL (Electronics)
After buying one of theses and finding it did not work properly, the Netgear people suggested I exchange it where I bought it for the same model. I did. But the second one wasn't any better than the first. When watching Netflix movies, it ALWAYS stutters and hesitates, usually at the beginning of the watching session. If I choose to have subtitles with the movie, it NEVER remembers my choice and requires me to choose it again every time I return to continue to watch the movie (ROKU players are much better in this regard). In general, pressing remote control keys elicits a sluggish and slow response at best, sometimes requiring multiple pressings. Although the NEOTV 300SL comes loaded a fun game (Texas Hold'em), playing it will result in the system freezing up; the ONLY way to unfreeze it is to unplug the device and reboot completely. Also, the device gets quite hot after using it for an hour or so. These problems occurred on BOTH of the units I tested. No one should have to put up with this; there are much better streaming media players available.
